Ninth Grade Meeting August 4th from 6 to 7.

Ninth Grade Players Meeting August 4th from 6 to 7 under the pavilion. If you have not turned in a physical form then you can turn them in at the meeting. Coach Walberg will hand out consent forms. The sooner you turn them in the better. The players that are at the meeting will also receive some of their equipment.

Ninth Grade Practice

Quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers meet Tuesday July 29 at the Practice Field at the high school from 6 to 7 PM. We will also have another throwing practice on August the 4th from 6 to 7. To participate the player must have a physical on file or bring it with him to these practices.

The 2008 Northwest Rankin Cougars football team has a mandatory team meeting on Tuesday July 29 at the fieldhouse. They will need to bring workout clothes and cleats to this meeting. Any players without physicals, need to make that they have received one by this date.

Every Northwest Rankin player and coach must go to www.starsportsmanship.com to register and view the interactive powerpoint on sportsmanship. This has to be done before the first football game in order for it to be effective. When you register your name is added to a list that we can read and check. It is very important!

Summer throwing schedule edited

The remainder of the summer the quarterbacks, runningbacks, and receivers will throw on a weekly determined schedule. The week of June 30 is as follows:

Monday at 10:00 in the morning and Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 in the evening.

The defensive backs and linebackers will be meeting at 6:00 in the evening on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The defensive meetings are voluntary and will not be held against you in any fashion.

The cougars are showing some true commitment in the weight room this summer, but we still need to turn it up a notch in terms of intensity. The time is now to get it done!
